About the Department

The Department of Cardiology was established in the form of Centre of Cardiology in 1986 with the facilities of temporary pacing and complete non invasive cardiology facilities, since then significant expansions have been made to the centre. In 2003 new C-arm with facility for permanent pacing was started. Under PMSSY in 2016 state of the art cathlab was established transforming the center into a fully functional interventional centre. It is now offering all the interventional procedures like angioplasties, baloon mitral volvotomy, peripheral angioplasties, pacemakers, ICD/CRTs, EP study and ablation. on 1st January 2020 the centre of cardiology was upgraded and converted iinto the Department of Cardiology
