About the Department
Since its inception, the department is rendering adequate and commendable services to all kind of orthopaedic patients. Presently, there are 3 units with 3 consultants in each unit. Academic activities in the form of seminars / Case Presentations / Journal Clubs / X-ray Discussions are held daily, from 8 - 9 a.m. (Monday to Saturday). All postgraduates and interns, plus all teaching staff members, participate actively. Last 24 hours? emergencies are discussed before the start of the morning programme. M.S.Orth. theses are presented stage wise, thrice a year, by the registered M.S.Orth. postgraduates. Laptop & Multimedia projectors are available in the department, for the postgraduates. Postgraduates are given full facilities (within our resources) and responsibilities; in OPD, IPD, OT and casualty, where they work under the direct supervision of consultants & senior residents. The department organizes regular conferences, symposia and seminars of national and state levels. Also, extension and extra-mural lectures are organized on regular basis.
The department also runs a three years course of, "Diploma in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation", under the aegis of, Centre of Professional Courses, AMU Aligarh.
