Department of Amraz-e-Niswan-wa-Atfal was established on 8th June 2000. After bifurcation from the Department of Moalijat. Before June 2000 Department was a section running under the supervision of the Department of Moalijat. There was a One Reader and One Part time Lecturer without Technical and Non Teaching Staff. It was upgraded on 31st March 2001 by the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. CCIM Recommended separate Post .Graduate. Department of Qabalat-wa-Amraz-e-Niswan in 12th April 2001 in the Faculty of Unani Medicine, A.M.U., Aligarh.

At present there are two Professor , and four Assistant Professor in Teaching Staff & other Non-Teaching Staff is One UDC (Admin), One Technical Assistant, One Lab Assistant, One Lab. Attendant (MTS). and Two Daily Wagers(Clerical & unskilled respectively). Prof. Suboohi Mustafa (MD Moalijat) is Chairperson of the Department ,

The department is actively involved in Research work and Organizing Seminars/Symposium Continuing Medical Education, Workshop, Reorientation Training Programme, Teaching and Training of under Graduate and Post Graduate Students.
