I, Dr. Mohammad Ashraf have been working as Professor, Department of Law, A.M.U. Aligarh since 18th March, 2010. Earlier I have joined the Faculty of Law as Lecturer in Law w.e.f. March, 1993 and as Reader w.e.f. 5th February, 2004 to 04 February, 2007. From 5th February, 2007 I have worked as Associate Professor till 17 March, 2010. I was awarded Ph.D. in Criminal Law in 1997 on Marital Violence in India?. My areas of research interest are Criminal laws, Criminology, Penology and Juvenile Delinquency, Mercantile Law, Law of Evidence. I have published around Thirty Three Articles/ Research Papers in the journals of National/ International repute like Journal of Objective studies, New Delhi, Kashmir University Law Review, Journal of Legal Studies, University of Rajasthan, Civil and Military Law Journal, New Delhi, Journal of legal Awareness- Vidhigya, Ghaziabad, Aligarh law Journal, A.M.U., Law Teller, Chandigarh, Cochin University Law Review, Indian Journal of law Review, Lucknow, Legal Journal of Quest for Justice, A.M.U., etc. including three letters in the reputed National Daily Newspapers. I have participated and presented numerous papers in the National/ International Seminars/ workshops/ conferences. I have already supervised 21 LLM Dissertations and 4Ph.D Theses successfully. I am currently supervising 4 Ph.D Scholars and 1 LL.M Scholar. I have been organizing several camps/ Lectures/ Workshops relating to National Legal Literacy and Mass Awareness programmes as Convener in the remote areas of the District Aligarh since 1994 till date. I am also rendering my services as Assistant Superintendent of Examinations in the Faculty of Law since 2012-13 till date.
