Brief Profile

Mr. Abdul Hamid, IPS presently serving as Registrar, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He belongs to IPS of 2006 Batch, U.P. Cadre. After training at SVPNPA, Hyderabad and field training as ASP Agra and SP Trans Gomti Lucknow, held independent post of Superintendent of Police at Auraiya, Hapur, Mahoba, Shamli, Barabanki, Jhansi, Raibareily. He has held various positions of Commandant of PAC Battalions, SP Crime at DGP Office & SP Technical Services at Technical Services Head Quarters, Lucknow.
He has been responsible for man management of a 2500 plus strong force and crime control in districts of population of more than 1 million. He has been Commandant of armed battalions.
He has worked as the leader of the force, which has exposed him to enrich his supervisory and command level experience. He likes to work in a team with good interpersonal relationship.
He is Gold medalist in post graduate in Business Administration (MBA) from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad in the year 2001, completed his Bachelor of Management Studies, Lucknow University in the year 1999. He has done his Intermediate from St. Mary's Inter College, Etawah, U.P. and High School from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Laitkor Peak, Shilong.
He has been Cultural Secretary of his batch at National Police Academy, Hyderabad. He has also represented his school in interschool football competition. He likes to play games such as Lawn Tennis, Badminton,Volleyball and likes to listen light music.
He belongs to a respectable family of Village Nagalahusha, District Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh. His father was in higher judicial services, who retired from Lucknow in 2014.
His brother is Manager in Canara Bank.
He was awarded by State Election Commission for conducting of elections in smooth manner. He got appreciation letters from various DGPs for cracking important criminal cases.
